Privacy Policy

Short version: we built Hooper Stats to track your kid's games, not to track you. We don't show ads and we don't sell your data — ever.
What you put in the app
You enter things like player names, optional photos, teams, and game stats. By default this is stored locally on your device. If you choose to create an account and sign in, that same data is also stored in your private account so it can sync across your devices and be backed up.
What we collect
If you don't sign in: we collect nothing — there's no account and the data stays on your device.
If you create an account: we store the email address you sign up with and the app data you create (players, teams, games, stats, and any photos you add), so we can sync and back it up for you. We do not run advertising trackers or third-party analytics that profile you.
How your data is stored
Account data is stored with our database and authentication provider (Supabase) on secured infrastructure, isolated per account so only your signed-in account can read your data. Subscription billing is handled entirely by Apple — we never see or store your card or payment details.
What we share
We don't sell your data and we don't share it for advertising. We only use the service providers needed to run the app (such as our hosting and database provider, and Apple for payments). When you tap "Share recap," the image is created on your device and handed to your phone's normal share sheet — we don't see or store what you share.
Children's privacy
Hooper Stats is intended for parents, guardians, and coaches to track youth basketball stats. Accounts are for the adult using the app, not for children. We don't knowingly create accounts for children or use any data to advertise to children.
Your choices
- Use the app without an account to keep everything on-device only.
- Export a full backup anytime from Settings → Your data → Export all data.
- Delete your account and associated data by emailing support@hooperstatsapp.com.
Changes to this policy
If we make a meaningful change, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above. Significant changes affecting how your data is handled will be surfaced in the app.
